Naturally Sustainable
James uses willow grown by Musgrove Willows, a family-run business on the Somerset Levels that has been growing willow since 1928.
Willow is a naturally renewable crop. The rods are harvested annually from established withy beds, which regrow to produce the following year’s crop. Musgrove Willows grows more than 60 varieties and continues to process its willow using traditional methods.
It’s a fitting material for James’s baskets: natural, renewable, full of individual colour and character, and rooted in a long tradition of British craftsmanship.
